Manchester is the home of several great Jamaicans including Olympic gold medallist, Arhtur Wint, musician and carnival extraordinaire, Byron Lee as well as the Rt. Excellent Norman Washington Manley, National Hero. Located in south-central Jamaica, the parish lies to the east of Clarendon with St. Elizabeth to its west and Trelawny to its north. The parish although relatively quiet on the entertainment scene, is the birthplace of countless musicians including General Degree, Luciano, Winston McAnuff, Tony Rebel and Garnett Silk.
